Dancing On The Edge is a family film about a teenage girl's struggle with addiction and her dream of being a ballet dancer. When sixteen-year-old Corey Farmer is released from detox, she is placed in Priority Place, a recovery center in lieu of juvenile detention. Here, under the stern guidance of Counselor Barney Dugan and her roommate Lynne Duckworth, Corey is allowed to attend ballet class where she meets Diane Simpson, who leads her into the crisis that changes her life. Written, Produced and Directed by Alexander MacKenzie, Dancing On The Edge was filmed in Vancouver, Washington and Happy Valley, Oregon. |
